At JRi Engineering Solutions, we don't just solve problems, we create change. JRi is a full-service engineering solutions company with a primary focus on hydraulics and pneumatics. Born out of more than 80 years of combined experience at the highest level of motorsports (Formula 1, IndyCar, NASCAR), JRi has developed some of the most advanced damping technology ever created. Our sister company, JRi Shocks, sells high-performance shock absorber products to various consumer facing markets, while JRi Engineering Solutions focuses on creating custom solutions for manufacturers large and small.

Ray Evernham
President & CEO
Ray Evernham is one of the most successful crew chiefs, car designers, team owners and businessmen in NASCAR history. He forged a new path in NASCAR and other forms of motorsports with his novel car design and testing methods along with his progressive leadership style, which led to his induction into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2018.
Jeff Ryan
Vice President of Engineering
Jeff Ryan is widely known as one of the most innovatve shock absorber experts of his time. His 40 years of experience and pioneering technologies have supported championship teams in all forms of motorsports, including Formula One, IndyCar and NASCAR. Beyond racing, Ryan has extensive experience developing damping solutions for industrial, bio-medical and military applications.
SERVICES
Design
JRi approaches each project based on the volume of production to determine the most efficient manufacturing method, which heavily dictates the way it is designed. We then work hand-in-hand with our machine shops to design the part(s) to meet the customer's functional requirements while also minimizing machining time and raw material waste to, ultimately, provide the most cost efficient product possible.
Prototyping and Low Volume Production
Prototyping and low volume production is JRi's strong suit. At JRi there is no corporate red tape, production minimums or buy ins. If you can dream it, we can design and produce it quickly, no matter the quantity. JRi engineers engage with our machine shops from the beginning of the design process so they can immediately put your project into their queue and eliminate any down time between the design and manufacturing stage.
Manufacturing
JRi's model is somewhat different than the norm, as we choose to outsource nearly all of our manufacturing work to trusted ISO 9001:2015 Certified machine shops, all located in the United States. The reason being is dampers consist of such a wide range of part types composed of various materials and to declare ourselves as experts in all of these disciplines would be a disservice to our customers. We have years of experience with each of our manufacturing partners, who all specialize in different forms of machining and types of materials.
Testing
Through the use of our own testing equipment and that of our close partners, JRi can help you quantify any specific data necessary to show what sets your product apart from the competition. Additionally, all parts used are scrutinized for tolerance accuracy before being released to the customer so you can be sure what we designed electronically is what you will receive physically.
